Biochemazone Simulated Inflammatory Fluid (SIF) BZ302, also called artificial inflammatory fluid, is a sterile, ready-to-use simulant of the fluid found at sites of inflammation, at pH 7.4. It is a specially designed formulation that approximates the composition of inflammatory fluid.
BZ302 is used in in vitro research, including work on implants and drug release, as a consistent, non-human stand-in for the fluid of an inflamed site. It is not a drug and is not for in vivo use.
It is supplied stabilized and has a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. The pH and the contents can be customized to the project. This simulated fluid is for scientific research and in vitro use only; it is not for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
