Prepared in accordance with the EN 13726 standard & BS EN 13726:2023, this formulation is widely used for the evaluation and performance testing of wound dressings, absorbent materials, biomedical devices, and wound care products under controlled and reproducible conditions. The fluid is carefully developed to simulate the viscosity, pH, ionic composition, protein content, and moisture behavior of natural wound exudate, making it suitable for absorption studies, fluid handling assessments, antimicrobial testing, and dressing retention analysis. Artificial Wound Fluid Exudate (BZ292) supports research and quality control activities in medical device manufacturing, healthcare product development, academic studies, and training applications where consistent and standardized testing conditions are required. 1.
