BioChemazone Disinfectant Efficacy Test Solutions are the standard-defined interfering substances and soil loads that disinfectant and antiseptic test methods add to the test to represent clean or dirty conditions of use. Organic load such as protein, blood and mucus reduces the activity of many disinfectants, so European and North American efficacy standards require the product to be tested in its presence.
The range includes the bovine albumin interfering-substance solutions for clean and dirty conditions used in EN suspension and surface tests (EN 13727, EN 13624, EN 14476, EN 1276, EN 1650, EN 13697 and related methods), and the three-part soil load (bovine serum albumin, yeast extract and mucin) used in the ASTM E2197 quantitative carrier test and in carrier methods for EPA and Health Canada submissions.
All solutions are prepared with ISO 3696 purified water under ISO 9001 / GMP quality systems, supplied sterile at the concentrations the methods require, and made in Canada. Custom soil loads, hard water and veterinary-area soiling solutions are available on request. For research and product testing use only.
