Product Overview
Biochemazone Veterinary-Area Disinfectant Soiling Solutions BZ671 are the sterile interfering substances used in efficacy tests of disinfectants for animal housing, equipment and teats. They follow the EN 1656 family of veterinary-area tests, in which organic soil is added so that the product is challenged as it would be on a farm.
Three solutions are offered. Low-level soiling gives a final bovine albumin concentration of 3 g/L in the test. High-level soiling gives 10 g/L bovine albumin plus 10 g/L yeast extract. Teat-disinfectant soiling gives 10 g/L skimmed milk. Each is supplied sterile at the stock strength added in the test, with a pH of about 6.5–7.2. The albumin and skimmed milk are animal-derived (bovine).
Check the stock concentrations, sterilisation and test conditions in the current edition of EN 1656 and related standards (for example EN 1657 and EN 14349). Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
