Biochemazone Artificial Human Urine Based on Hydration Color Chart BZ510 is a non-biological synthetic urine made in the colours of the urine hydration chart, from transparent and pale yellow through dark yellow and amber to orange-brown, red, blue-green and cloudy. Each colour reproduces the look of real urine at a given hydration level or with a possible medical condition. It is a water-based solution of non-toxic colourants and salts at pH about 6.0 to 6.5.
BZ510 is a teaching and testing aid. It is used in hydration awareness workshops and public health campaigns, as a teaching tool in medical and nursing schools, in EMT and nursing simulations and clinical decision-making drills, and for urinalysis strip calibration, colour-sensor testing in diagnostic equipment and analytical device validation. It is safe for classroom, clinical and laboratory settings and needs no mixing or dilution.
BZ510 contains a mild 0.05% preservative as standard, so it is supplied stabilized, with a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. Colour Options Based on the Hydration Chart
- Pale yellow – normal; healthy hydration
- Transparent – normal; possible overhydration
- Dark yellow – mild concern; early signs of dehydration
- Amber – alarming; severe dehydration
- Orange / brown – alarming; liver issues or severe dehydration
- Red – possibly alarming; presence of blood, or caused by foods or dyes
- Blue / green – rare but normal; colouring related to medication or dye
- Cloudy – alarming; may indicate infection or the presence of phosphates or proteins
