Product Overview
Biochemazone Urinalysis Teaching Kit BZ643 gives students realistic, safe urine samples for dipstick and physical-examination practicals. The kit contains one normal artificial urine and five coded unknowns, each representing a common abnormal finding, together with an instructor key and a student worksheet.
The unknowns show glucose (as in diabetes), protein (as in kidney disease), ketones (as in fasting or diabetic ketoacidosis), high specific gravity (as in dehydration) and alkaline pH (as with some urinary infections). The normal sample has a pH of about 6.0; across the kit the pH ranges from about 5.0 to 8.0, so students can practise reading the full pH pad.
All samples are non-biological, contain no human material and can go down the drain after class. Blood, nitrite and leukocyte-positive samples can be added on request. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
