Biochemazone Artificial Perspiration, AATCC TM15 Sweat pH 4.3 Stabilized BZ137 is a ready-to-use, sterile acid artificial perspiration at pH 4.3 ± 0.2 for AATCC TM125, Colorfastness to Perspiration and Light, and for AATCC TM15, Colorfastness to Perspiration. Both methods use the same acid perspiration solution – the sodium chloride / lactic acid / disodium hydrogen phosphate / L-histidine monohydrochloride solution. In TM125 the specimen is wetted with the perspiration solution and then exposed to light, which reveals shade changes that neither perspiration nor light causes alone.
The Stabilized version contains a preservative / stabilizer system that prevents microbial growth and keeps the solution within specification for a full year unopened, removing the need to prepare fresh perspiration before every test series. A not-stabilized, preservative-free version (BZ135) and a Powder Version Kit are available.
Prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system, every batch is standardised for composition and pH so that colour-change and staining ratings are reproducible between laboratories. BZ137 is used by textile mills, dye houses, garment brands and third-party laboratories. Companion solutions: ISO 105-E04 acidic pH 5.5 BZ154 and ISO 105-E04 alkaline pH 8.0 BZ153.
