Biochemazone Artificial Perspiration, AATCC TM15 Sweat pH 4.3 Not Stabilized BZ135 is a ready-to-use, sterile acid artificial perspiration prepared to the acid perspiration solution of AATCC Test Method 15, Colorfastness to Perspiration – the sodium chloride / lactic acid / disodium hydrogen phosphate / L-histidine monohydrochloride solution adjusted to pH 4.3 ± 0.2. The same solution is specified for AATCC TM125, Colorfastness to Perspiration and Light, so one bottle covers both test methods.
The Not Stabilized version is preservative-free: it contains no preservative or stabilizer, for laboratories whose procedures call for perspiration solution without additives. It has a 6-month shelf life unopened. A stabilized version (BZ136) and a Powder Version Kit are available.
Prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system, every batch is standardised for composition and pH so that colour-change and staining ratings are reproducible between laboratories. Frequently Asked Questions
Is BZ135 the same as the ISO 105-E04 acid perspiration solution?
No. ISO 105-E04 uses an L-histidine / sodium chloride / sodium dihydrogen phosphate solution at pH 5.5; AATCC TM15 uses lactic acid and disodium hydrogen phosphate at pH 4.3. We supply both – see BZ154 for the ISO 105-E04 acidic solution.
How does BZ135 differ from BZ136?
BZ135 is preservative-free, with a 6-month shelf life unopened. BZ136 is the same solution with a preservative / stabilizer system and a 1-year shelf life unopened.
