Artificial Perspiration has a pH of 6.5 (we customize the pH on request without any additional cost, our artificial Eccrine Perspiration consists of amino acids, minerals, and various metabolites which simulates the composition, properties, and pH of the real Human eccrine sweat at Low price. We add preservatives, stabilizers, antifungal, and antibacterial reagents to enhance the shelf life. Please request it while making the order. This pH 6.5 formulation is used to determine the colorfastness of articles for common use for perspiration.
The DIN 53160:2023-07 standard is an updated and consolidated version that replaces several earlier standards, including DIN 53160-2:2010-10, which specifically addressed testing with artificial perspiration.
Here’s how DIN 53160:2023-07 differs from DIN 53160-2:2010-10:
- Scope: The new 2023 version broadens the scope by covering both saliva and perspiration simulants in a single standard, whereas DIN 53160-2:2010-10 was specifically focused on the effects of artificial perspiration.
- Consolidation: DIN 53160:2023-07 combines the previous parts 1 and 2 (which dealt separately with saliva and perspiration) into one unified document, streamlining the testing process under a single protocol. This integration helps ensure consistency and simplifies compliance.
- Test Methodology: While the general methodology of exposing articles to simulated bodily fluids remains consistent, the 2023 update might include refined or revised procedures that reflect more current understanding or technological advancements since the 2010 version.
- Exclusions and Applicability: The 2023 standard has more explicitly stated exclusions, such as items meant to contact food, and clarified the types of items it applies to, which may differ slightly from the 2010 standard.
In summary, DIN 53160:2023-07 serves as an updated and more comprehensive standard compared to DIN 53160-2:2010-10, which was more narrowly focused on artificial perspiration(AENOR, NSAI Store, MyStandards).
