Product Overview

Biochemazone 1.5 M Tris-HCl, pH 8.8 BZ201 is the classic Laemmli “lower gel” buffer for the resolving (separating) gel of SDS-PAGE and native PAGE. Used at one quarter of the gel volume, it gives the standard 0.375 M Tris-HCl, pH 8.8 in the finished gel.

The stock is titrated with hydrochloric acid to pH 8.8 at 25 °C. Because the 4X format matches most published gel recipes (2.5 mL per 10 mL of gel), it drops straight into existing protocols without recalculation. Pair it with the pH 6.8 stacking-gel buffer for sharp, reproducible protein bands.

Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
