Biochemazone Simulated Endometrial Secretions (SES) BZ419 is a ready-to-use synthetic solution that mimics the properties of natural endometrial secretions, at pH 7.4. It contains water, electrolytes, proteins and other relevant biomolecules that replicate the physical and chemical properties of the natural fluid, whose pH is about 7.0 to 7.5. Its viscosity, density and pH are set to match the natural fluid, and it stays stable through the test.
Research laboratories use it to study the interaction between the endometrial environment and reproductive processes, including embryo implantation, cellular interactions and reproductive health in general. It is also used to test and calibrate medical devices and diagnostic tools that come into contact with endometrial secretions, in the development of reproductive technologies, and in training, where it takes the place of real endometrial secretions.
It is supplied stabilized and has a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. Because it contains protein, keep it at 2–8 °C if it is to be stored for a long time. The formulation, minerals, organic content and pH can be customized. This simulated fluid is for scientific research and in vitro use only; it is not for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
