Biochemazone Artificial Follicular Fluid BZ330, also called synthetic or simulated follicular fluid, is a sterile, ready-to-use, water-based solution that closely resembles human follicular fluid, at pH 7.2 – the fluid that fills the ovarian follicle around the egg. Its physicochemical properties – pH, buffer capacity, surface tension and viscosity – were assessed during development and optimized to mimic the natural fluid.
It is used in in vitro reproductive research as a consistent stand-in for follicular fluid, which is otherwise only available from patients.
It is supplied stabilized and has a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. The formulation, enzymes and pH can be customized. This simulated fluid is for scientific research and in vitro use only; it is not for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
