Product Overview
Biochemazone Multipurpose Artificial Urine (MP-AU) BZ599 follows the formulation published by Sarigul, Korkmaz and Kurultak (2019), Scientific Reports, “A New Artificial Urine Protocol to Better Imitate Human Urine”. The authors compared many published artificial urines and built MP-AU to match the chemical composition and the spectroscopic behaviour of real human urine more closely, so that one formulation could serve several kinds of research.
MP-AU contains the main inorganic salts of urine together with urea, creatinine, uric acid and other organic components at physiological concentrations. Its pH is adjusted to about 6.0–6.5, within the normal range of human urine. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
Because it behaves like real urine in infrared and optical measurements, MP-AU is particularly useful for sensor, spectroscopy and analytical method development, as well as microbiology and materials work where a realistic urine is needed.
