Biochemazone Artificial Colostrum Fluid BZ306, also called simulated colostrum fluid, is a sterile, ready-to-use solution that simulates the composition and pH of colostrum, at pH 7.42. Colostrum is the milk-like fluid produced by the breast in the first days after birth, before mature milk comes in.
BZ306 is used in in vitro research as a consistent stand-in for colostrum, which is available from donors only in very small amounts and for a short time.
It is supplied stabilized and has a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. The pH and the contents can be customized to the project. This simulated fluid is for scientific research and in vitro use only; it is not for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
