Biochemazone Simulated Human Foot Sweat with Odor BZ520 is a ready-to-use, sterile synthetic solution designed to replicate the composition, pH, salt concentration and characteristic odour of human plantar sweat. It is a water-based matrix of salts and amino acids with safe, synthetic odour compounds that reproduce the smell of foot sweat, at a pH of about 4.5 to 5.5. It contains no cells, pathogens or proteins, so tests can be run under controlled conditions without handling biological specimens.
BZ520 is used to test the odour resistance of shoes, socks and insoles, to study sweat absorption and material degradation, to evaluate antimicrobial and moisture-wicking fabrics, to test deodorants, foot powders, antifungal sprays and odour neutralisers, and to calibrate sensors and odour-measurement devices. It gives a consistent, reproducible alternative to real foot sweat.
BZ520 is sterile-filtered (0.22 µm) and contains 0.05% of a mild preservative as standard, so it is supplied stabilized, with a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version is available on request. Prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
