Product Overview
Biochemazone Implant Corrosion Test Solutions BZ634 are electrolytes for corrosion tests on implant metals and medical devices according to ISO 16428, the standard for test solutions and environmental conditions for static and dynamic corrosion tests on implantable materials.
Two solutions are offered. The 0.9% sodium chloride solution is a simple, aggressive chloride electrolyte with a pH of about 6.0 (range 5.5–7.0), used for screening and comparative tests. The physiological (Hank’s-type) solution adds calcium, magnesium, phosphate, glucose and bicarbonate and is adjusted to pH 7.4 ± 0.2 to reflect body fluid. Tests are normally run at 37 °C; for pH-sensitive work, the pH can be held with CO₂ or a buffer as your protocol allows.
Check the solutions and conditions required by your edition of ISO 16428 and any related method, such as ASTM F2129 or ISO 10993-15. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
