Artificial Saliva Applications
The present formulation of artificial saliva has been developed following the official methods ASTM E2720-16 and ASTM E2721-16, both of which are specifically designed for the assessment of decontamination procedures applied to surfaces and materials that have been contaminated with human pathogenic viruses.
The formulation is presented in two different variants: a pre-mixed stabilized solution containing a preservative to prevent bacterial growth, and a non-stabilized solution that comes in two parts, which must be mixed before use. The non-stabilized formulation includes pre-weighted mucin powder and should be refrigerated after mixing. The stabilized solution, however, can be stored at room temperature. The pH of the formulation is 7. Please ask for the customization.
