Biochemazone Artificial Saliva or Synthetic Saliva BZ324 is a ready-to-use, sterile synthetic saliva at pH 6.8 for in vitro research. It closely resembles human saliva and is used by diagnostic companies for testing biosensor devices and by biomedical, dental and pharmaceutical laboratories as a matrix for quality-control preparations.
BZ324 is used wherever a saliva-like liquid is needed in volume: routine device and material testing, method development, wetting and soaking of test articles, teaching and training. The formulations follow official test methods and published research on artificial saliva, so that the same repeatable results are obtained anywhere, anytime.
It is supplied not stabilized and preservative-free, with a 6-month shelf life unopened; a stabilized version is available on request and has a 1-year shelf life. The pH, the formulation, enzymes and the pack size can be customized.
