Product Overview
Biochemazone Artificial Human Sweat with Odor BZ397 is a ready-to-use, sterile synthetic sweat at pH 6.3 that carries the smell of human sweat. Ordinary artificial sweat is odourless, which is exactly what most corrosion and colour-fastness tests need – but it cannot tell you whether a deodorant masks odour, whether a fabric holds on to it, or whether a sensor detects it. BZ397 adds the odour to a matrix that closely resembles human sweat.
It is supplied not stabilized and preservative-free, with a 6-month shelf life unopened; a stabilized version with non-toxic preservatives is available on request and has a 1-year shelf life. The pH of 6.3, the formulation and the pack size can be customized. The odourless version of the same matrix is Artificial Human Sweat BZ320.

How is BZ397 different from apocrine sweat?
BZ397 is supplied with the odour already present, for odour-masking and odour-retention tests. Artificial Apocrine Perspiration BZ335 is initially odourless and is used to study how odour develops when skin bacteria act on sweat.
