Biochemazone Simulated Baby Hands Sweat BZ298 is a ready-to-use, sterile synthetic sweat at pH 6.5–6.8 that stands in for the palmar sweat of infants. Babies grip, mouth and carry the things made for them for hours at a time, and sweaty palms are common in infancy – palmar hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating of the palms, is relatively common in infants and not dangerous. BZ298 lets manufacturers expose a product to that sweat reproducibly, without human samples.
The near-neutral pH of 6.5–6.8 can be adjusted on request to suit a project requirement. BZ298 is supplied not stabilized and preservative-free, so no additive is present that could affect a migration, colour-transfer or coating result. It has a 6-month shelf life unopened; a stabilized version and a Powder Version Kit are available on request.
