Product Overview
Biochemazone Poultry In-Vitro Digestion Fluids BZ684 simulate the three main digestive stages of the chicken: the crop, the proventriculus and gizzard, and the small intestine. They are used to test how phytases and other feed enzymes work under the pH and time conditions of the bird gut, following the approach of published poultry simulations such as Menezes-Blackburn et al. (2015).
Three fluids are offered, singly or as a set. The crop fluid is a mildly acidic buffer with a pH of about 5.2. The gizzard fluid is acidic, pH about 3.0, with pepsin. The small-intestine fluid is buffered to a pH of about 6.1–6.5, with pancreatin. Pepsin and pancreatin are of porcine origin and are animal-derived; they are supplied as pre-weighed powders to add on the day of use.
Check stage times, enzyme amounts and pH in the paper or protocol you follow. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
