Biochemazone L(+)-Lactic Acid, 20 wt.% Solution BZ524 is a ready-diluted aqueous solution of the naturally occurring L(+) enantiomer of lactic acid (2-hydroxypropanoic acid) at 20% by weight – roughly 2.3 mol/L. It saves handling concentrated 85–90% lactic acid, which is viscous and corrosive.
Lactic acid is a weak organic acid (pKa about 3.9) found naturally in the body and in fermented foods. In the lab it is used for pH adjustment, acidifying culture media, preparing artificial sweat, urine and other simulated fluids, chiral and fermentation research, biopolymer (PLA) studies, and cosmetic, food and antimicrobial research.
Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
