Product Overview
Biochemazone Forensic Training Blood BZ645 is a blood substitute for bloodstain pattern analysis (BPA) courses and crime-scene training. Pattern interpretation depends on how drops form, fly, spread and dry, so the fluid is formulated to be close to whole blood in density, viscosity and surface tension, and to dry to a realistic dark red-brown.
Two grades are offered. The standard grade is non-reactive and is used for drip, cast-off, impact and transfer-pattern exercises. The presumptive-test reactive grade contains a peroxidase-active component so that students can practise presumptive blood tests and enhancement on the stains they create. Both have a pH of about 7.4 (range 7.2–7.6).
The fluid contains no human blood and is safe to use in classrooms and mock scenes. Measured viscosity and surface tension are reported for each batch. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
