Product Overview
Biochemazone Clot Analog Set BZ589 supplies three synthetic clot simulants that differ in composition and stiffness, as real thrombi do: a soft red-cell-rich (“red”) clot, a firm, elastic fibrin-rich (“white”) clot and an intermediate mixed clot. Clot composition changes how a thrombus responds to aspiration and stent-retriever devices, so testing against all three gives a truer picture of device performance than a single clot type.
The clots are hydrogel-based and colour-coded, and are supplied in a storage buffer at pH 7.4. They can be cut to length and loaded into vessel models. Each batch is checked for stiffness and appearance under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
BZ589 extends our single-type Simulated Blood Clots (BZ505) into a graded set for thrombectomy-device development, bench comparison and physician training.
