Biochemazone Artificial Rhinorrhea BZ295, also called simulated rhinorrhea, is a sterile, ready-to-use solution that simulates the composition and pH of rhinorrhea, the thin nasal discharge. It can be used directly and is supplied at pH 7.4; the pH can be customized to the project requirement.
Rhinorrhea refers to a thin, mostly clear nasal discharge. BZ295 gives laboratories a watery nasal discharge of constant composition for nasal-product and device testing.
It is supplied stabilized and has a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. Because it contains protein and mucin, keep it at 2–8 °C if it is to be stored for a long time. The stabilizer, pH and contents can be customized to the project.
