Product Overview
Biochemazone Artificial Perspiration, ISO 105-B07 / ISO 105-E04 Alkaline Solution – Not Stabilized BZ152 is a ready-to-use, sterile alkaline artificial perspiration at pH 8.0 for the ISO textile perspiration tests. ISO 105-E04, colour fastness to perspiration, tests every specimen in two solutions – an acid one at pH 5.5 and an alkaline one at pH 8.0 – and rates the colour change and the staining of adjacent fabrics. ISO 105-B07 measures the colour fastness to light of textiles wetted with artificial perspiration. The alkaline solution of the method is the L-histidine / sodium chloride / disodium hydrogen phosphate solution at pH 8.0, representing perspiration that has aged on the skin.
The Not Stabilized version is preservative-free: it contains no preservative or stabilizer, for laboratories whose procedures call for perspiration solution without additives. It has a 6-month shelf life unopened. The stabilized version is BZ153; a Powder Version Kit is also available.
The acid solution that completes the ISO 105-E04 pair is BZ151. Prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system, every batch is standardised for composition and pH so that grey-scale ratings are reproducible between laboratories. BZ152 is used by textile mills, dye houses, garment brands and third-party laboratories; a dry kit for both solutions is BZ580 and bulk carboys are BZ581.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the acid solution as well?
ISO 105-E04 tests each specimen in both an acid (pH 5.5) and an alkaline (pH 8.0) solution. BZ152 is the alkaline solution; the acid one is BZ151.
How does BZ152 differ from BZ153?
BZ152 is preservative-free, with a 6-month shelf life unopened. BZ153 is the same solution with a preservative / stabilizer system and a 1-year shelf life unopened.
