Product Overview
Biochemazone Synthetic Pig and Cattle Slurry and Artificial Sheep Urine BZ708 are defined test materials for studying ammonia, greenhouse-gas and odour emissions from livestock manures, and for testing slurry additives, inhibitors and odour-control products. Real manure varies with diet, season and farm; a synthetic material gives the same starting point for every test.
The synthetic slurries contain urea and ammonium nitrogen, volatile fatty acids, plant-derived fibre and protein, and salts, at a pH of about 7.5 (range 7.0–8.0). The artificial sheep urine is based on the ruminant urine formulations used in soil nitrous-oxide studies, with urea, hippuric acid, allantoin, creatinine and potassium salts, at a pH of about 8.0 (range 7.5–8.5). The products contain no animal-derived ingredients and no live microbes.
For biogas and emission work that needs microbial activity, add your own inoculum. Nitrogen and dry-matter content are reported for each batch. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
