Product Overview
Biochemazone Canine Fed-State Simulated Intestinal Fluid BZ679 is a biorelevant medium for dissolution and solubility testing of drugs under the conditions of the fed dog small intestine. Dogs are the most common species in oral bioavailability and food-effect studies, and their intestinal fluid differs from human fluid, so a canine medium helps link in-vitro results to dog data.
The medium is based on published canine intestinal-fluid data. Compared with the fasted state, it has higher bile-salt and phospholipid levels and lipid digestion products, in a buffer at a pH of about 6.2 (range 5.8–6.5). Dog bile acids are conjugated almost entirely with taurine, so the medium uses taurine-conjugated bile salts, which are animal-derived (from animal bile). The phospholipid is lecithin; its source is stated on the certificate.
Check the composition against the canine data or method you use; we can adjust bile-salt, lipid and pH values. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
