Product Overview
Biochemazone Interstitial Fluid Glucose Panel BZ582 supplies our simulated interstitial fluid at three fixed glucose concentrations: low (2.8 mmol/L, 50 mg/dL), normal (5.5 mmol/L, 100 mg/dL) and high (16.7 mmol/L, 300 mg/dL). The levels cover hypoglycaemia, normal fasting glucose and hyperglycaemia, the range a continuous glucose monitor has to read.
Interstitial fluid is the fluid that continuous glucose monitors, microneedle patches and many wearable sensors sample. The base fluid contains the main electrolytes of interstitial fluid and is buffered to pH 7.4 (range 7.35–7.45). Glucose is added gravimetrically and the concentration of every batch is confirmed and stated on the certificate of analysis.
The panel saves sensor developers from spiking and checking their own glucose standards and gives the same matrix at each level, so differences in sensor response come from glucose alone. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system. For the glucose-free base fluid see Simulated Interstitial Fluid BZ254.
Key Features & Benefits
✅ Three Clinical Glucose Levels – 2.8, 5.5 and 16.7 mmol/L (50, 100 and 300 mg/dL)
✅ Same Matrix at Every Level – Only glucose changes between bottles
✅ pH 7.4 (Range 7.35–7.45) – Physiological interstitial-fluid pH
✅ Certified Concentration – Measured glucose value on each certificate of analysis
✅ Single Levels or Sets – Buy one level or all three together
✅ Sterile-Filtered – Limits microbial glucose consumption during storage
✅ ISO 3696 Grade Water – Prepared using high-purity laboratory water
✅ Made in Canada – Manufactured under ISO 9001 / GMP quality systems
