Biochemazone Artificial Sweat Mimic Stressed Sweat BZ405 is a ready-to-use, sterile synthetic sweat at pH 6.3 formulated to mimic the sweat produced under stress. When a person is stressed the body releases stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline, and the sweat that follows differs in its chemical profile from sweat produced at rest or by heat. BZ405 starts from an artificial sweat that closely resembles human sweat and carries more sulfur components than the standard formulation, to represent stress sweat.
BZ405 is used in biomedical research on the physiological response to stress, in product development for antiperspirants, deodorants and wearable sensors that must work during stress sweating, and in forensic science. Stress-related analytes such as lactate or cortisol can be added on request at the concentrations you specify.
It is supplied not stabilized and preservative-free, with a 6-month shelf life unopened; a stabilized version with non-toxic preservatives is available on request and has a 1-year shelf life. The pH of 6.3, the formulation and the pack size can be customized. Prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system. The general-purpose matrix is Artificial Human Sweat BZ320; the other sweat mimics are Movement Sweat BZ406, Thermal Sweat BZ407 and Exercise Sweat BZ504.
