Biochemazone Artificial Sweat Mimic Thermal Sweat BZ407 is a ready-to-use, sterile synthetic sweat at pH 6.3 formulated to mimic the sweat produced in response to heat. Thermal sweating is the body’s way of holding a stable internal temperature, and its sweat carries water and electrolytes together with urea, amino acids and trace minerals. BZ407 starts from an artificial sweat that closely resembles human sweat and carries more amino-acid and odour components than the standard formulation, to represent heat-induced sweat.
BZ407 is used by textile researchers and manufacturers to test the thermal comfort and moisture-wicking of fabrics and clothing for hot environments, by personal-care companies to evaluate antiperspirants, deodorants and skincare under thermal sweating, and in medical research on heatstroke, hyperhidrosis and thermoregulatory disorders.
It is supplied not stabilized and preservative-free, with a 6-month shelf life unopened; a stabilized version with non-toxic preservatives is available on request and has a 1-year shelf life. The pH of 6.3, the formulation and the pack size can be customized. Prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system. The general-purpose matrix is Artificial Human Sweat BZ320; the other sweat mimics are Stressed Sweat BZ405, Movement Sweat BZ406 and Exercise Sweat BZ504.

All three are sweat, but their triggers and profiles differ. BZ407 represents heat-induced sweat; for the others see Stressed Sweat BZ405 and Movement Sweat BZ406.
