The pH of simulated uterine fluid is an important parameter, as it needs to closely mimic the natural conditions of the human uterus.

Typically, the pH of natural uterine fluid ranges from approximately 6.8 to 7.4. Therefore, when preparing simulated uterine fluid, it’s crucial to maintain the pH within this range to ensure the accuracy and relevance of experimental results. For most purposes, a pH of around 7.2 is considered a good approximation for the average pH of uterine fluid. This slightly acidic to neutral pH is essential for maintaining a suitable environment for sperm survival and fertilization, as well as for supporting the health and function of the uterine lining.
