Product Overview
Biochemazone Simulated Renal Fluid BZ270, also called artificial renal fluid, is a sterile, ready-to-use solution that simulates the composition and pH of renal fluid. It is supplied at pH 7.4, and the pH can be customized to the project requirement.
Fluid builds up in the kidney when urine cannot drain from it – a condition called hydronephrosis, the swelling of one or both kidneys. It can follow a partial blockage in the urinary tract, most often where the kidney meets the ureter, or vesicoureteral reflux, in which urine flows backward from the bladder up into the kidney. BZ270 gives laboratories a renal fluid of constant composition for kidney-related in vitro research and for testing devices that come into contact with it.
It is supplied stabilized and has a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. The formulation, minerals, organic content and pH can be customized. This simulated fluid is for scientific research and in vitro use only; it is not for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
