Product Overview
Biochemazone Simulated Rat and Mouse Plasma BZ693 is a surrogate plasma matrix for bioanalysis in the two main preclinical rodent species. Surrogate matrices are used when blank animal plasma is scarce or expensive, for method development, for dilution of study samples, and for measuring compounds that occur naturally in plasma.
The simulant contains albumin, globulins, glucose and electrolytes set from published rat and mouse reference ranges, with a pH of 7.4 ± 0.1, and is supplied with K2EDTA or lithium heparin to match your sample tubes. It is free of drugs and endogenous hormones. It complements our Rodent Serum (BZ525).
The proteins are of bovine (animal) origin and the heparin is porcine; no rodent material is used. If you use it as a surrogate matrix in a regulated method, demonstrate parallelism with authentic plasma as required by ICH M10 and your own SOPs. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
