Product Overview
Biochemazone Simulated Monkey Plasma, Serum and CSF BZ694 are surrogate matrices for bioanalysis in non-human primate studies. Blank primate matrices are costly and hard to obtain, so a defined simulant is useful for method development, standards and QC preparation, and for work on compounds that occur naturally in the body.
Plasma (K2EDTA) and serum contain albumin, globulins, glucose and electrolytes set from published macaque (cynomolgus and rhesus) reference ranges, with a pH of 7.4 ± 0.1. The CSF is a low-protein artificial cerebrospinal fluid with a pH of about 7.3 (range 7.2–7.4), used where only microlitre volumes of real CSF are available. All three are free of drugs and endogenous hormones.
The proteins are of bovine (animal) origin; no primate material is used. For regulated work, show parallelism with authentic matrix as required by ICH M10 and your own SOPs. It complements our Simulated Monkey Urine (BZ367). Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
