Product Overview
Biochemazone Simulated Canine and Equine Synovial Fluid BZ690 is a joint-fluid simulant for animal-health research. It is used to test veterinary intra-articular injectables and orthopaedic implants, and to give students realistic fluid for joint-tap (arthrocentesis) practice on models.
The fluid combines sodium hyaluronate, albumin and a physiological salt base, with a pH of about 7.4 (range 7.3–7.6). Hyaluronate level and protein content are set from published canine and equine synovial data, and measured viscosity is reported for each batch. The degraded type has lower hyaluronate molecular weight and viscosity, similar to fluid from inflamed or arthritic joints.
No cells are included. The albumin is of bovine (animal) origin. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
