Product Overview
Biochemazone Monkey Simulated Gastric and Intestinal Fluids BZ704 are dissolution and solubility media for formulations dosed to non-human primates, such as cynomolgus and rhesus monkeys, in preclinical studies. They help explain differences between monkey and human exposure and choose formulations before an in-vivo study.
The gastric fluid is an acidified salt solution with pepsin and a pH of about 2.0 (range 1.5–3.0). The fasted-state intestinal fluid is a buffered medium with bile salts and phospholipid at a pH of about 6.5 (range 6.0–7.0). Pepsin (porcine) and bile salts are of animal origin.
The compositions are based on published primate GI data, which vary between studies, feeding state and species; we can adjust pH or bile-salt level to match the values you use. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
