Product Overview
Biochemazone Artificial Perspiration, GMW 14334, Alkaline, Non-Stabilized BZ128 is a ready-to-use, sterile alkaline artificial sweat at pH 8.0 for GMW 14334 chemical-resistance testing of automotive trim. Parts that occupants touch are exposed to perspiration every day; the alkaline solution represents sweat that has aged on the skin, which attacks coatings, prints and plastics differently from fresh acidic sweat.
The Non-Stabilized version is supplied without preservative or stabilizer, so no additive is present that could affect the material under test. The acidic counterpart is GMW14334 Sweat, Acidic BZ159; any other pH from 2 to 9 is supplied on request at no extra cost, and a stabilized version is available on request.
The solution contains amino acids, minerals and metabolites that simulate the composition and pH of human eccrine sweat, and is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system. BZ128 is used by automotive OEM suppliers, coating and plastics manufacturers and test laboratories to qualify interior and exterior touch parts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need both the acidic and the alkaline solution?
Many test plans expose parts to both, because fresh sweat is acidic and sweat that has aged on the skin becomes alkaline. BZ128 is the alkaline solution; the acidic one is BZ159.
How long does the solution keep?
Unopened, the non-stabilized solution has a 6-month shelf life at 2–30 °C. A stabilized version with a 1-year shelf life is available on request.
