Product Overview
Biochemazone Artificial Eccrine for Colorfastness Testing BZ391 offers the three perspiration solutions most used for colour-fastness testing on one page, each ready to use in a 200 mL bottle. Colour fastness matters to every textile and leather producer because perspiration, light and rubbing – alone or together – discolour goods in wear. Sweat contains salt, urea and lactic acid, which can weaken the bond between a dye and the fibre so that the colour fades, and amino acids, which can cling to the fabric and leave protein stains.
Choose the version by the method your test follows: AATCC TM15 / TM125 at pH 4.3 for dyed, printed or coloured textile fibres, yarns and fabrics; ISO 105-E04 / ISO 105-B07, acid at pH 5.5 and alkaline at pH 8.0, for all forms of textiles; or ISO 11641, the alkaline solution for leather at all stages of processing, including gloving, clothing and lining leathers and unlined shoe uppers. The pH of any version can be customized.
Every version is supplied not stabilized and preservative-free, with a 6-month shelf life unopened; a stabilized version is available on request and has a 1-year shelf life. Prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system. Each solution is also sold as its own product in 100 mL to 1000 mL bottles – follow the links in the table.

Does BZ391B include both the acid and the alkaline solution?
ISO 105-E04 uses an acid solution at pH 5.5 and an alkaline solution at pH 8.0. State in the order notes which one you need, or order both; each is also available as its own product in larger sizes.
