Biochemazone Artificial Bronchoalveolar Lavage (BAL) Fluid BZ305, also called simulated bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid, is a sterile, ready-to-use solution that simulates the composition and pH of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. It can be used directly and is supplied at pH 7.2; the pH can be customized to the project requirement.
Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid is the fluid recovered by bronchoalveolar lavage. BZ305 gives laboratories a BAL fluid of constant composition for in vitro respiratory research, in place of a fluid that is difficult to collect.
It is supplied stabilized and has a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. The stabilizer, pH and contents can be customized to the project. This simulated fluid is for scientific research and in vitro use only; it is not for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
