Biochemazone Veterinary Training Blood BZ710 is a non-biological blood substitute for filling venipuncture, jugular, cephalic and catheter trainers used in veterinary and veterinary-technician education. Students see realistic flashback and blood flow without the cost and handling issues of real animal blood.
The fluid has a colour and flow close to whole blood and is offered in venous (dark red) and arterial (bright red) shades. It is formulated to be low-staining and washable, has a pH of about 7.4 (range 7.0–7.8), and contains a preservative to limit microbial growth inside trainers. It contains no blood or other animal-derived ingredients.
Trainer materials differ, so test the fluid on a small area of your model before first use and flush lines with water after each session. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
