Product Overview
Biochemazone Canine and Feline Urinalysis Control Urines BZ687 are analyte-positive and analyte-negative versions of our dog and cat urine simulants. They are made for developing dipsticks and veterinary urine analysers, checking instrument performance, and training veterinary technicians to read strips and measure specific gravity.
Each species is offered at two levels. The normal level has a specific gravity typical of the species (cats concentrate urine more than dogs) and a pH of about 6.0–6.5, with negative results for glucose, protein, ketones and blood. The abnormal level contains glucose, protein, ketones and haemoglobin at positive levels, with a pH of about 7.5–8.0. Target values for each analyte are listed on the certificate.
The protein is bovine serum albumin and the haemoglobin is of animal origin. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
