Product Overview
Biochemazone Simulated Dog Urine BZ375, also called synthetic dog urine or artificial canine urine, is a sterile, ready-to-use synthetic urine that simulates the composition and pH of real dog urine. It is supplied at pH 7.0 to 7.5, with a default of 7.2; the pH can be customized. It is colourless to slightly yellow – a colour dye gives it the look of real dog urine – and odourless to slightly odorous. Versions with and without odour are available on request for malodour testing.
BZ375 is used by diagnostic companies for the testing of biosensor devices, by the biomedical and textile testing industries, and by laboratories as a matrix for quality-control preparations. Makers of urine catheters, diapers, sanitary pads, high-performance textiles, biosensors and synthetic urine kits use it to test their products on materials and surfaces. It is formulated according to official testing methods and to published research data on artificial dog urine, so that results can be repeated anywhere and at any time.
It is supplied stabilized, with 0.05% preservative, and has a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. The formulation, minerals, organic content and pH can be customized. This simulated fluid is for scientific research and in vitro use only; it is not for clinical diagnosis or treatment. For the with-odour grade for turf and pet pads see Simulated Dog Urine with Odour BZ674; for hydration colours see Artificial Canine Urine Based on Hydration Color Chart BZ555; for urinalysis controls see Canine and Feline Urinalysis Control Urines BZ687.
