Product Overview
Biochemazone Synthetic Milk Matrix BZ686 is a cow’s-milk simulant for developing dairy tests and in-line milking sensors. It gives developers a residue-free, consistent milk matrix, so that spiking, recovery and sensor-calibration work does not depend on the variable quality of bulk-tank milk.
Two types are offered. The normal milk matrix contains milk proteins (casein and whey proteins), lactose, emulsified fat and milk salts, with a pH of about 6.6–6.8. The simulated mastitic milk reproduces the main chemical changes of udder inflammation: higher sodium and chloride, lower lactose and potassium, and therefore higher electrical conductivity, with a pH of about 6.9–7.2. Measured pH and conductivity are reported for each batch. Somatic cells are not included.
The matrix contains no antibiotics, so it can be spiked with the residues your test must detect. The milk proteins are of bovine (animal) origin. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
