Biochemazone Clinical Simulation Fluid Refill Packs BZ644 are realistic, low-cost fluids for refilling task trainers and manikins used to teach invasive procedures. Each fluid looks and flows like the real body fluid, but is non-biological, non-staining and gentle on silicone and vinyl trainer parts.
Six fluids are offered: urine for catheterisation (pH about 6.0), cerebrospinal fluid for lumbar puncture (clear, pH about 7.3), synovial fluid for arthrocentesis (straw-coloured and viscous, pH about 7.4), pleural fluid for thoracentesis (straw-coloured, pH about 7.4), amniotic fluid for obstetric training (pale, pH about 7.2) and gastric aspirate for nasogastric-tube placement checks (pH about 3.0, range 1.5–4.0, so it gives a realistic pH-strip result).
Fluids contain a preservative to prevent growth inside trainers. Test a small area of a new trainer before first use. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
