Product Overview
Biochemazone Artificial Sweat for Biosensor Applications BZ321 is a ready-to-use, sterile synthetic sweat at pH 6.3 for developing and testing sweat-based biosensor devices. A sweat sensor has to be characterised in a matrix that behaves like sweat but does not change from one donor or one day to the next; BZ321 provides that constant background for calibration curves, interference studies and device verification.
BZ321 is supplied not stabilized and preservative-free, so no preservative is present that could interfere with an enzyme layer, an electrode or an optical readout. It has a 6-month shelf life unopened. A stabilized version with non-toxic preservatives is available on request, and the pH of 6.3, the formulation and the pack size can all be customized.
Prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system, BZ321 is used by diagnostic and wearable-device companies and by research groups. Ready-spiked matrices are available as Artificial Sweat Analyte Panels BZ621 with lactate, glucose, electrolytes and cortisol; the general-purpose matrix is Artificial Human Sweat BZ320.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does BZ321 contain the analyte my sensor measures?
BZ321 is the sweat matrix. If you need a defined level of an analyte – for example lactate, glucose, sodium, potassium or cortisol – tell us the concentration, or order the Artificial Sweat Analyte Panels BZ621.
Why preservative-free for sensor work?
Preservatives can inhibit enzymes, foul electrodes or absorb light. The not-stabilized version avoids that; store it unopened at 2–30 °C and use it promptly once opened.
