Biochemazone Wound Drainage Training Set BZ664 gives nursing and medical students the four types of wound drainage they must learn to recognise and document. Seeing the fluids side by side, in dressings, drains and collection bags, makes the differences in colour and consistency easy to teach.
The set contains serous drainage (clear, thin, pale yellow), serosanguineous drainage (thin and pink), sanguineous drainage (thin and bright red) and purulent drainage (thick, opaque, creamy yellow). Each fluid has a pH of about 7.0–7.5. An instructor sheet describes each type and what it can indicate.
All fluids are non-biological and contain no human or animal blood. They are coloured with washable food-grade colours, but test a small area of fabric, moulage or trainer before first use. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
