Biochemazone Synthetic Arthritis Synovial Fluid BZ331, also called artificial or simulated arthritis synovial fluid, is a sterile, ready-to-use solution that simulates the composition and pH of human arthritis synovial fluid, at pH 7.3. The pH can be customized to the project requirement.
Its physicochemical properties – pH, buffer capacity, surface tension and viscosity – were assessed during development and optimized to mimic human arthritis synovial fluid. BZ331 gives laboratories an arthritic synovial fluid of constant composition for in vitro research, in place of a fluid that has to be drawn from patients.
It is supplied stabilized and has a 1-year shelf life unopened; a preservative-free version (6-month shelf life) and a dried Powder Version Kit are available on request. The formulation, enzymes and pH can be customized. This simulated fluid is for scientific research and in vitro use only; it is not for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
