Product Overview
Biochemazone Zebrafish E3 Embryo Medium and Danieau’s Solution BZ698 are the standard salines for raising zebrafish embryos and larvae and for microinjection work. Buying them ready-made saves weighing small amounts of salts every week and gives the same medium in every batch of embryos.
E3 medium is a dilute solution of sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium salts with a pH of about 7.2 (range 6.8–7.6); it is offered plain, with methylene blue to limit fungal growth, and as a 60x concentrate. Danieau’s solution is a HEPES-buffered saline with a pH of 7.6, supplied at 30% for embryo rearing and dechorionation and at full strength for injection and dissection work.
The recipes follow the widely used zebrafish laboratory formulations; if your facility uses its own variant, send it to us and we will match it. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
