Biochemazone Simulated Cat Urine with Odour BZ666 is our Simulated Cat Urine (BZ376) with a standard malodour added, for testing products that must control the smell of cat urine. It lets cat-litter, stain-remover and air-care developers run odour tests without collecting real urine from animals.
The base fluid has the high solute load typical of cat urine, with urea, creatinine and salts, a specific gravity of about 1.035–1.060 and a pH of about 6.0–6.5. The added odour reproduces the sharp ammonia and sulfurous notes of soiled litter at one fixed, standard level, so that sensory panels and headspace measurements can be compared from batch to batch.
An unscented version is available as Simulated Cat Urine (BZ376). The fluid is fully synthetic and contains no urine or other animal material. Each batch is prepared with ISO 3696 compliant high-purity water under Biochemazone’s ISO 9001 / GMP quality system.
